MVTA Minnesota State Fair Express Buses: Labor Day Guide (2026)

 The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) is operating a modified Express Bus schedule for the Minnesota State Fair on Labor Day.

For real-time bus arrivals or transit tracking updates, riders can contact MVTA Customer Service at 952-882-7500.

The round-trip fare is $6 per person. Parking at all designated MVTA station lots is completely free. Fares can be paid via exact cash, a credit/debit card with an on-site staff member, or digitally using the RideMVTA App. Children ages 5 and under and disabled veterans with a "Service Connected" ID ride free.

🕒 Labor Day Schedule & Frequency

Buses will run continuously every 15 to 20 minutes onMonday, September 7, 2026:

• Service to the Fair: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Last bus departs at 4:00 PM)
• Service from the Fair: 12:00 PM (Noon) – 8:30 PM (Last bus departs Gate 16 at 8:30 PM)

You can catch the express shuttle from any of these four South Metro stations:

• Burnsville: Burnsville Transit Station
• Eagan: Eagan Transit Station
• Eagan (New for 2026): Blackhawk Park & Ride
• Shakopee: Southbridge Crossings Park & Ride

All buses drop off and pick up directly at the State Fair Express Transit Hub at Gate 16 on the west end of the fairgrounds
